Jen's Place runs a small beach cafe at Periangos. Coffee, cake, burgers and burritos, with vegetarian and vegan options built in from the start. Long-stay travelers and dive instructors treat it as their default, not a one-time stop.

The menu stays casual. The setting, right on the sand, does most of the work. Travel bloggers who've spent real time in Tofo pick it over the bigger cafes in the center for coffee and cake.

Jen serves the best cake going!!!! Passion fruit, chocolate, biscotti…if we’d had more time we would have tried more. Her coffee and smoothies are also delicious. But what makes Jen’s place is Jen - go eat some cake and have a chat! Also buy some eco straws 😉

When I was travelling Mozambique nowhere made me feel more welcome than Jens. Had the most amazing food there, her breakfast was incredible and her veggie burgers were the best I ever had. Most welcoming person I ever met.

The first place to visit if you're new into Tofo! Go for the coffee and the fresh cake, stay for the chats, banter, local advice and to meet all the characters round these lovely parts! Thanks Jen!

Amazing place: Jen offers great service and food. I also enjoyed my coffee with actual coffee beans! Great value for money and Jen will also offer valuable insights and recommendations about Tofo.

So happy I found Jen’s place! It truly became my living room while staying in Tofo. The food and drinks are amazing, and Jen has the best stories to share. Super grateful for how she always helped me out, even when I was in a rush and only had 15 minutes to eat. Such a gem with a wonderful soul running it!
