A former carwash turned weekend bar in Nau-Aib

Emerald Lounge opened on 26 July 2024 in a building that used to wash cars, right next to a bar called Jolly Joker in Okahandja's Nau-Aib area. Turning a carwash into a bar isn't unusual here: commercial plots are tight on residential streets, and a concrete forecourt with drainage already sorted is a decent head start.

Weekends bring DJs and a crowd that spills into what used to be the wash bays. Nau-Aib is a residential pocket of town, so this is a neighbourhood hangout rather than a stop for people passing through on the B1.
