Childhood friends splitting the difference between restaurant and wine bar
Bram de Smet and Bo Dijkstra, friends since childhood, run NONCHA at Jansplaats 28, built around the space between a restaurant and a wine bar. The kitchen runs French-Belgian with oysters and shareable plates, and the wine list is chosen for drinkability over exclusivity.
The mood shifts over the course of the evening, from a sit-down dinner toward a looser bar atmosphere.

Nocha is truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Arnhem. The concept of French-Belgian cuisine is executed beautifully, with flavors that are perfectly balanced and still linger in your mouth long after dinner. The service was exceptional from start to finish. What impressed us most was the wine experience — we were asked detailed questions about the exact taste profiles we enjoy, and the recommendation we received was absolutely perfect. You can really feel the knowledge and passion behind their wine selection. We started with the anchovy toast, which was divine. Then we had the moules marinière, grilled shrimps, and the lobster Thermidor — every single dish was refined, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the professionalism of the staff made this a complete experience rather than just a dinner. We already know we’ll be back because we want to try every item on the menu. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a special culinary experience in Arnhem. We will definitely recommend Noncha to all our friends and family.

You have to be here !!!! The service is more than great, lovely and" takes you by your heart"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We hat a VERY great time! AND THE FOOD was wonderful fantastic delicious and.....!!!!!!!! Everything looks like a "picture "!!!!! Go there and enjoy 😍🥰❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ "The girls from the bar with Gin Tonic"!!!!🍓🍓🍓

Minasan – Great Vibes, Disappointing Food I had high expectations for Minasan, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to them. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The cocktails were definitely one of the highlights, creative, unique, and worth trying if you enjoy something out of the ordinary. The interior is also beautifully designed, making it a pleasant place to spend time. However, the food didn’t deliver. The sushi lacked flavour, the portions were small for the price, and overall the dishes felt underwhelming. In summary, if you're looking for a great place to enjoy some standout cocktails in a cosy setting, Minasan is worth a visit, just don’t go with high hopes for the food.

Nice place and great atmosphere. As for the food, it was good overall but some dishes were too dry and too salty for our taste.
