Deventer's record shop, run by a 23 year old collector

Jarko Verwater started buying vinyl in primary school. Now he runs the counter himself at Platenbeer, the shop he took over from Variaworld and renamed on Kleine Overstraat.

New and secondhand records sit side by side, the same mix the old shop carried. Same address, same crates, younger owner behind the till.

Picked up my order in Deventer yesterday. It was neatly ready and I was greeted kindly by the store employee. Prices are a bit on the high side for some CDs, but they do have nice promotions. I order there occasionally and so far I have nothing but good things to say about the service.

Found something similar to what I was looking for that I didn't expect to find at all. So it was a nice surprise. They have a lot of vinyls! Definitely the place to visit if you're a vinyl lover. The guys who work there were helpful and friendly
