Omani-Portuguese cooking in a 1930s house below Mutrah Fort

Two cuisines that actually crossed paths on this coast, plated in a restored Omani house at the foot of Mutrah Fort. Mesa's menu treats that Omani-Portuguese history as the whole point, not a gimmick.

Omani chef Dina Macki helped shape the concept. The restaurant runs breakfast through dinner every day, giving Old Muscat's corniche a proper sit-down spot in a stretch still dominated by the souq and the fish market.
