Order a merienda, then paint your own piece of ceramics right at the table while the lake sits in view outside. Nina grew out of a home-based alfajor business before landing in this lakeside spot in Areguá, and the pairing of pastry and pottery is what makes people drive out here.

The alfajores still work as a standalone order, and dulce de leche is the flavor regulars keep going back for. Lakeside tables go first, so book ahead if you want one, especially on weekends.

I honestly don't understand the negative comments. I was there on May 24, 2026, with my girlfriend, and the service was wonderful! The location is excellent, and the coffee and alfajores were amazing. We arrived around 10:10 am (they open at 9 am), and our order took no more than 20 minutes.
