Paraguay's only name on South America's 100 Best Coffee Shops list

A coffee shop on Calle Palma just made Paraguay a talking point in a scene it never used to compete in. Kaffe'i landed at number 89 on South America's 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025, the only Paraguayan café among more than 1,800 evaluated.

Luis Wong roasts the beans on site, in the Centro Histórico. Less than eleven months after opening, outlets that never write about cafés were suddenly writing about this one.

The Colombia Pink Bourbon pour over (V60) is a lifetime best cup for me. The lemon pie was okay. Be prepared to spend a minimum of 50.000 if you want a dessert + a cup of very good coffee.

Its a nice place, has a cool interior, and very good coffee and a wide variety of drink options, the food options are limited but good! Its quite slow and they seem understaffed

Nice atmosphere & delicious coffee The quality of the coffee was excellent, the space felt modern and welcoming, and you can tell they care about the full coffee experience. This spot offers a great atmosphere and incredible value for money. As of January 2026, their Double Espresso is a steal at just 10,000 GS (plus 3,000 GS for a milk shot); it is high-quality, smooth, and perfectly balanced with fruity notes, a hint of smokiness, and almost no bitterness or acidity. Their Caprese sandwich is equally impressive, featuring a warm, crispy-yet-soft baguette that is clearly fresh. Highly recommended for excellent coffee and food at a very affordable price.
