Good Shepherd Cafe

The convent's ube jam brand finally has a cafe

Everyone in Baguio knows the Good Shepherd name from the convent shop, where people queue by the case for the ube jam. Now it's a cafe, tucked into the SkyZone level of Porta Vaga Mall right beside the cathedral.

It opens at 5:30am, early enough for a city that starts at dawn, and shuts by 8pm. Takeout only for now, so grab your jam and go.

Ordered their Tapa and Sea Salt Latte, not much of a coffee lover so I asked for no coffee. Even so it was still delicious! Tapa was 10/10, not hard to chew and flavorful. Thank you Jayeon for your great service! Will come back again hehehe ❤️

Service was exceptional and their unique food offerings truly give you a piece of Baguio's culture. However, some points of improvement include making sure their menu items were always available. I initially wanted to have the Sirloin Beer Tapa but it was unavailable so I went for the Kiniing Burger Steak which was something you'll need to try at least once. Another thing was that their service water container seemed to have some algae in it so we opted not to drink it anymore, just to be on the safe side.

We had the ube bibinka and the normal one, which are both good, but I'd like to emphasize how tasty the ubebinka is. Truly, Good Shepherd ube is top notch. The shepherd latte tastes so good as well. Perfect balance of ube and coffee. The ambiance is chill with a good view of the cathedral and overlooking the city as well. Only I would suggest to have a few fans as it tends to get a bit warm at times even during sunset. But overall, it was a great experience and their staff is all nice. Would totally recommend.

highly recommend this cafe! Their coffee, bread, pastries, and especially the bibingka are absolutely delicious. It’s also a great one-stop shop because they have a wide variety of pasalubong (souvenirs/treats) you can buy for family and friends. On top of that, the staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. A quick tip for visitors: There is no restroom (CR) inside the cafe itself, but there is one available just outside near the church. Payment is super easy and convenient as they accept cash, GCash, bank transfers, and debit/credit cards

The food was good especially the Iced Shepherd’s latte. 💜 The place was a good location near the church very accessible and cozy. I just had issue with the service because the order was a bit late and seems it was not well coordinated with the cashier and the crew at the kitchen. There are still room for improvements, but overall it’s fine.🙂
