Ooma
★ 4.8 · 171 reviews Cebu City Opened 2025
Japanese-Asian crossover, big plates, loud room
Rolls piled with aburi and mayonnaise, portions built for a table of four, not a solo diner. This is modern Japanese pushed hard into Asian fusion territory, and it works loud, not quiet.
Ooma landed in SM City Cebu's North Wing among a wave of Manila brands moving in. Weekend evenings mean a wait list at the door, so put your name down and go walk the mall instead of standing around.

Dining here in Ooma was absolutely fine. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming. Their customer service is top-notch based on our experience earlier—they gave us complimentary ice cream as dessert, which my friend and I were surprised but really appreciated. We also tried their complimentary hot tea while waiting for our food. The food that we ordered was delicious, but we kind of expected more on the serving for Hanger Steak and Beef Chahan. We dined during peak hours, and maybe that is why the wait time was a little long for our food to served, but understandable. Overall, it was a great experience and we totally will come back and try others in their menu.

The staff are incredibly polite and attentive throughout your visit. The experience begins with a comforting cup of hot tea while waiting for the meal to come. The meal kicks off with the Beef Chahan, a rich fried rice loaded with savory beef, and the Hanger Steak, which delivers bold, beefy flavors with a tender, juicy bite. For the sushi, the Aburi Mixer brings together a medley of torched fish that melts in your mouth, while the Crowd Favorites platter offers a curated selection of their most celebrated rolls. To round out the meal, the dining experience finishes on a sweet note with a complimentary serving of vanilla ice cream- a simple and refreshing finish to balance the bold flavors that came before. Overall 10/10 ⭐

The employees were very accommodating, the food was super delicious, and compliments to the excellent chef. Service was also fast and our food didn’t take long to arrive. Plus, everything was very affordable. I especially loved their fried chocolate gyoza. definitely a must-try! Highly recommended!

Had our first visit at Ooma because we were craving Japanese food, and everything we ordered was honestly 10/10. I think I just found another Japanese restaurant to add to my favorites list. The food was amazing, the ambiance was great, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even took the time to explain some details about the dishes we ordered, which made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!

Second time at Ooma. Shouldn’t have ordered too much but wanted to try some others. We had udon the first time. Took home some of the maki mixers and they let you sign a waiver cz it may go bad at some point which is understandable. And if you answer their survey after you eat they serve you free ice cream👌🏻. Enjoy!
