Lebanese cooking, star-named, at the Sofitel

Most hotel dining rooms play it safe with broad, forgettable menus. Thurya doesn't: it's a Lebanese restaurant built to be a destination, not a fallback for guests staying upstairs at the Sofitel Riyadh.

It sits in Ar Rahmaniyyah, part of the newer development spreading north of Riyadh's old center. The name comes from the Arabic word for the Pleiades star cluster, a fitting reach for a place aiming higher than typical hotel fare.
