Dome stays above Taif, fog rolling in by evening

Book a dome on the Al Shafa slopes and you're sleeping at 2,000 metres, with fog drifting through most summer evenings. These aren't camping shells. Each one is fitted out as a proper self-contained stay, which is the whole pitch the operators keep making.

A 2025 renovation reworked the interiors, and Saudi travel accounts now rate the housekeeping as hotel-standard rather than chalet-standard. There's no booking site or listing on the major platforms. You reach them through WhatsApp, get a straight answer, and drive about forty minutes up the Al Shafa road from central Taif.

• Booking is WhatsApp-only on +966 50 204 9495 - there is no online reservation system.
• The domes were refitted through mid-2025, so older photos circulating online show the earlier interiors.
