A retired Dakar minibus turned coffee truck by the river

Bassirou Fall pulled a hand-painted car rapide off the road for good, welding a coffee counter into Dakar's classic transit minibus. The idea runs in the family: his father Meïssa Fall turns scrap bicycles into sculpture at the workshop Faire Metal.

Saturday mornings the truck rolls down to the riverbank for L'Escale du Samedi, coffee and pastries a few steps from the Senegal River. Book a riverside seat through WhatsApp. There's no formal reservation system.
