Ask where to watch golden hour on the Casamance river, and this name comes up fast. The pitch stays simple: a terrace facing the water, cold drinks and a bus route everyone into town takes.

Arriving buses from the gare routière drop you at the door. Weekdays it's a bar and restaurant, open until midnight and later on weekends. Once the sun drops over the water, DJ nights take over. People talk about this year's "Dj Beuz" set.

Good food in a lovely spot by the river. It has a riverside terrace and indoor tables. The decor is nice, with lighting that creates a pleasant atmosphere, and they play chill-out music that complements the setting. Prices are a bit higher than average, but not too expensive, and the food is good. It's a good place for coffee, lunch, dinner, or a quiet drink. The only downside is that it's located in a rather unattractive area, on an unpaved street that's quite dark and deserted. It's best to go by taxi or car.
