Where Bled's cream cake was born

Kavarna Park sits inside Hotel Park on Cesta svobode, and this is the cafe that perfected the kremna rezina back in the 1950s. The square of vanilla custard and whipped cream between layers of crisp pastry is still the only thing worth ordering.

Thousands leave the kitchen every week, and eating one on the lakeside terrace counts as a rite of passage in Bled. The cafe is less a stop for coffee than a monument to the town's most famous dessert.

Food average, price high as expected for a lakeside, but service (lack of service) was poor. Difficult to get someone to take my order, order desert, or pay my bill. It's as if the staff deliberately avoid you and they were not that busy at time. The ONLY good thing is the Bled Cake - that was delicious. Would not recommend overall.

My boyfriend and I visited the restaurant twice during our one-day stay. The reason? Good food, beautiful views, and super friendly waitress service who spoke excellent English. You get cold, delicious free water with your order, and the portions of food are adequate for the price (yes, even the soups!). I plan to return to the city, but with a best friend, and I'll definitely show her these restaurant. The perfect place to relax and admire the views! (Note: it's not always possible to split the bill. But for me and my boyfriend, it wasn't a problem.)

We ate here on our first night at Bled and enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back and try the Bled Cream Cake another day seeing as it is the place it originated from. What can I say, it definitely lived up to expectations. By the way the view from the terrace is different level 👌🏼

We had a short coffee time in this place. It was busy (2pm) but luckily we got the table with a perfect view thanks to the nice hostess. We came for ice coffee, the Bled cake and ice cream(total €20). We love the view and were able to take beautiful pictures. Waiter was friendly

This was a place recommended to try the Bled cream cake! The scenic terrace views of the lake are amazing while enjoying your food/dessert. The cake itself was had a puffy flaky top and bottom with a cream and custard center and mildly sweetened. For me, this taste was perfect. The service is also very helpful and friendly!
