Wood-fired Aragonese cooking, done fast and well

The fire does the talking here. Rústicco takes traditional Aragonese dishes and runs them through a wood-fired kitchen, landing somewhere between rustic and sharp. It's the kind of place that makes you forget it just opened.

It already picked up the 2026 Premio Horeca 'Aragón, Sabor de Verdad', a local award for restaurants that best represent Aragonese cuisine. It's from the team behind La Flor de Lis, on Calle de Santiago in the Casco Antiguo.

Dinning in Rusticco was an luxury experience. Food was top quality, truthfuly delicious meats and sides 🥩 The waiter took great care of us, we left full and satisfied.

We had a fantastic meal at Rusticco! My wife has celiac and my son has a severe egg allergy. They were able to accommodate! Carlos did a wonderful job helping us! He was very knowledgeable about both allergies and cross contamination. He also dropped some amazing wine knowledge! The next time we're in Zaragoza we will come to Rusticco!

It is hard to overstate what a great pleasure it was to randomly discover this terrific restaurant tucked just off the giant plaza of our Lady of the Pillar! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming without being fussy, the wine list was really exceptional, and the service was friendly and efficient. The fact that they're open when a lot of other places aren't was a huge plus. We were so taken with the place after our first night that we returned the next night. A special shout out to Carlos, whose deep and passionate love of wine was matched by his gracious hospitality (and fantastic English). If we ever return to Zaragoza, a stop here will be at the top of our list!

This is a hidden gem which is not far from the main Basillica. The service is excellent and the food is without question the best we have had in Zaragoza. Please make sure you speak to Nis who is a wonderful person and a great ambassador for this restaurant.
