A small Flower Road coffee shop that bakes its own
The name says it all: Kiri Kōpi, milk and coffee in Sinhala. It's a coffee shop and bakery on Flower Road small enough to feel like one person's project, not a rollout.
Bakes come fresh out of the kitchen through the day, from eight in the morning to eight at night. Colombo 7, an easy walk from Independence Square.

Kiri Kopi is a wonderful, family-friendly spot that we have happily returned to several times. It can get busy, but the staff are attentive, efficient, and clearly well organised. The food is excellent, with reasonable prices for the quality (not the cheapest, but definitely worth it). I especially appreciated how accommodating they were with dietary requirements; the chef was available to discuss options and kindly prepared a special request, while the supervisor was also very knowledgeable about allergens. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a lovely play area that makes it a great choice for families with children. Overall, a great place with delicious food, thoughtful service, and a team that genuinely cares about their guests. We really enjoy coming here and will definitely be back.

Visited Kiri Kopi today at around 4pm with my partner and was left underwhelmed. While the ambience, decor and music were promising the cafe could use a lot of refinement. The staff was cold and not forthcoming, the tables were very wobbly (we tried 3 ) , the coffee was burnt and the pastries were stale and hard to cut. I’ve found cafes like Radicle and Grind are a step above Kiri Kopi and I hope they improve even though I doubt I’ll visit them again. :(

Stopped for an evening coffee. Decent place to catchup. Tofu scramble was really good, more like a tofu pasta without pasta. The pain suisse was a bit eggy and didn’t have a crunchy exterior as you’d expect. Berry cloud was okish, didn’t taste much of berry. Tamarind narang was good.

Great atmosphere and cozy ambiance. The carrot cake was amazing—definitely a must-try! The matcha was okay and complemented the cake well. Overall, a lovely café worth visiting.

I really enjoyed this place! ☕️ The coffee is absolutely amazing — rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in flavor. You can truly taste the quality of the beans in every sip. The food is also excellent — fresh, beautifully presented, and very delicious. The portions are good, and everything is prepared with care. I especially like the variety on the menu, from light snacks to more filling dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and spend time. Definitely a place I would love to come back to again and again! ☕🍰
