The rooftop lounge Lelydorp didn't have yet

Mood sits above the Assuria building on De Craneweg, and it's the only elevated terrace in town, so the view alone sets it apart. It works best after dark, when the rooftop actually earns its billing and the cocktail list starts to make sense.

Come for a drink before dinner elsewhere, or stay and order off the kitchen: steaks, burgers, wings and pasta all back up the bar. Wednesdays run quieter than the weekend crowd, worth knowing if you want a table without the wait.

A missed opportunity. The abundant bright blue LED lighting creates a soulless appearance. The plastic plants, now discolored by the sun, make a shabby impression. If you are in the tropics, there are plenty of plants that require little care. It is the third time I have been here, and yet the beer is still served in a small lemonade glass. And unfortunately, no Parbo beer is offered either. That is not the bartender's fault, as it has already been pointed out. Furthermore, the parasols are too small to sit in shelter from rain or sunshine. Perhaps an option would be to create a wider canopy? Especially since you make it to the exit dry in the rain. A plus point is the friendly, helpful staff! They are rare gems and make up for a lot.

The music is too loud... we have to ask if it can be turned down. It is clear, though, that there is no manager present who understands how to welcome guests. Young people like music, but as soon as there are customers, it has to be turned down or just off. The staff was nice though. The food (burger) was decent. As for the terrace, it is surrounded by blue LED strips that are TOO bright. They also cannot be dimmed. That is, in fact, the only light available. Not exactly pleasant to sit outside. Someone went wild with this lighting, but it is unpleasant and rather cold light. Tastes differ...
