Ruby Frida: high quality hotel room photo

187 rooms, sixties bones and a rooftop restaurant at Fridhemsplan

Ruby's first Scandinavian hotel skips the square metres and spends the budget on beds, sound insulation and shared spaces instead. That's the whole idea behind lean luxury, and it shows the moment you walk into the rebuilt 1960s block on Kungsholmen.

The 187 rooms keep the decade's look, since that's actually when the building went up. Ride eight floors to the rooftop for Neni, the restaurant that finally makes the long-unfinished Fridhemsplan corner feel complete.

Good to know

  • The rooftop restaurant Neni is eight floors up and open to non-guests.
  • Fridhemsplan station is directly outside, on both the green and the blue metro lines.

A stylish and comfortable hotel in a great central location, making it easy to explore Stockholm on foot. The rooms were modern, clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being close to the city's attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and the breakfast offered a good variety of fresh options. Public transport connections were excellent, making day trips around the city effortless. A great choice for both leisure and business travelers looking for convenience and comfort. I would definitely stay here again. Location : less than 100 feet from Fridhemsplan metro stop Check in : Quick & efficient Room : Good size. Entertainment: Smart TV with Netflix Check Out : Quick & efficient. Used the Baggage storage facility on the last day. Would recommend the following minor changes to the hotel management to improve the room even further. A latch in the toilet. A few hooks in the toilet. Install more apps on the Smart TV like youtube, Amazon Prime etc. A kettle in the Galley as the hot water tap is not good enough to brew tea.

Loved the rooms, very cozy and very clean. It was a brand new hotel. There is a common pantry in each floor with coffee and tea making facilities. There is also an open area where hotel guests can sit and enjoy the hotel. It’s right by the train station with easy train access to the city in 5-10mins and also surrounding areas. Stockholm Central Station is about a 30 mins walk. Only thing is that toothbrush, combs, etc was not provided and needed to be bought at the vending machines in the common pantry. Will definitely book here again in the future.

Ruby Frida hotel is a fairly new hotel and the entrance is rather difficult to spot as there is no signage out front. Reception is in through the foyer into the bar area. The rooms are a decent size and as they knew everything is clean, modern and the bed is reasonably comfortable, however the duvet is actually two separate do those placed horizontally across the bed which is rather strange. There is also a stool at the end of the bed. And a safe in the cupboard. There is a large LCD TV with only four channels on it none of them in English. The Wi-Fi is fairly inconsistent and keeps dropping out. You can play Netflix but you cannot use the smart features to watch YouTube or anything else. They do not supply, Tea & coffee or an electric jug A bar fridge Face washers Dental kits Slippers There is a safe and the air conditioning is very poor and substandard and it is just a device on the wall where you can alter the temperature up or down by 3° and that's it.  So when it is hot outside you cannot call the room down sufficiently and it's hot and uncomfortable trying to sleep at night. I can only imagine when it's cold you wouldn't be able to keep warm because there's insufficient range in the temperature. The shower is open to the sleeping area but you can pull a curtain around it for privacy. The water pressure is really good.

We had a great stay at Ruby Frida Hotel Stockholm. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Fridhemsplan with easy access to public transport and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel has a very modern, artistic design with lots of character. One thing to know when you arrive: the entrance can be a little confusing because the bar also serves as the reception, but once you know that, it all makes sense and adds to the hotel’s unique concept. Our room was comfortable and had a lovely view. The bathroom design is quite unusual, with a glass shower that’s visible from the room, which gives the space a modern, open feel (though it may not be for everyone). Overall, a stylish hotel with a fun concept, a great location, and a pleasant stay. I’d happily come back.

Brand new hotel with creative concept. Beautiful space and design. Easy access to public transportation. I want to also appreciate Sarah at the front desk who took care of my early check-in perfectly. She’s so professional, helpful, and kind. For me, the staff and the good vibes are what make or break the hotel. So I definitely will come back to this hotel the next time I’m in Stockholm! Thank you!!!
