Hashtag Cafe is on the corner of Independence Avenue, in a shopfront attached to Nyumbani Hotel next to the main post office. Ask where to get a decent coffee in Tanga and this is one of the first names that comes up. The menu stays simple: coffee, burgers, wraps, salads, desserts, plus home delivery that's been running since 2022 for anyone who'd rather stay at their desk.
It closes one day a week, Tuesdays, and keeps long hours the rest of the time. That reliability is the whole appeal. Regulars don't come here to discover something new; they come because it's exactly where they left it last week.

The food was great, the coffee was amazing. Forgot to take photos of the food as it made me hungry once i saw it. Its a really nice cafe.

The staff are very friendly and charming, the waiting time is short We Had mac n cheese 7/10 Chicken wraps 8/10 Chicken nuggets 9/10 Overall the food was good For dessert I recommend brownies and ice cream

Itās nice place to having a coffee in Tanga. I think this is the only one place for western style of coffee store in tanga. I ordered waffle and other food in some days. Waffle was very delicious. Toilet is clean. Staff can speak English! Wifi is available for one hour.shake was also good!!

Like the name. Sandwiches were amazing, very tasty. Waiter was very polite and friendly. The place is spacious and well organised. We surely come back. Highly recommended.
