Skip the riverside crowds. Tree Cafe sits on the quiet west side of Ayutthaya's island, shaded and green, pouring coffee and tea alongside simple Thai plates. More locals show up than visitors, which tells you something.

It's the neighbourhood spot that rounds out a food scene otherwise ruled by noodle stalls and riverside restaurants.
