Paul's Place

A relaxed café-bar on Yenikapı Sokak in the old town.
Paul's Place is a laid-back café-bar on Yenikapı Sokak, serving coffee by day and drinks into the evening in the Kaleiçi lanes. It is the sort of easygoing, all-day spot that the old town's mixed crowd of residents and visitors drifts through.
The casual, come-as-you-are feel is the draw. Good for a coffee break or an early drink in the walls.

Lovely breakfast. Options other than a Turkish breakfast. Pancake breakfast was yummy

We loved Paul’s Place! It is a very cute little venue that serves a lot of breakfast options that don’t include necessarily Turkish food, and the prices were very good. We went with the Menemen cause we wanted to try a local dish but there’s omeletes, pochet eggs etc. We were very well received and the staff spoke perfect English (one of them actually teaches Turkish!). Would definitely come back.

We ate here twice for breakfast. We had the sourdough eggs benedict, the menemen, the pancake breakfast and the eggs advocado toast. All the meals were very good. It's a cozy restaurant/cafe located in the Old Town. It's quite affordable, especially for the Old Town. The two women there provided excellent service. It even has a little gift shop with a nice selection of Turkish handcrafts and interesting books about Turkey.

I’ve visited this European-style breakfast café in the city center several times, and it consistently delivers a great experience. The menu offers a nice variety, including bruschetta topped with eggs and other ingredients, as well as traditional options like mantı and flavorful Turkish-style cutlets. The staff are friendly and speak English fluently, which makes it especially welcoming for international visitors—you’ll often find foreigners enjoying the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable considering the quality, which is consistently high. I’d also like to highlight their coffee: it’s rich, strong, and clearly made with high-quality beans. Overall, it’s a reliable spot for a satisfying breakfast or brunch. Definitely worth a visit!

Warm and lovely place, I love the cozy atmosphere with the couches and comfortable chairs. There are even many books to read. The food is really good too, and fairely priced. Tasty cakes and affordable drinks as well. The staff is great and friendly too. Wish it would be open on the weekends too because I could go there every day. 100% recommend
