Small café on Çekirge's thermal hill

Coffee is the reason to stop here, and the room stays small enough that it feels like a find rather than a listing. Local food accounts already flagged it as one of the season's better new cafés.

Çekirge's old bathhouses are a short walk downhill, so it's an easy stop before or after a soak.

This is an exceptional place to go, not just for breakfast, but to refresh your soul and memories. The 90s were undoubtedly the most beautiful and innocent years of a lifetime. From art and music to neighborly relations and human connections, it was a completely different era, and those who experienced those years firsthand are truly lucky. This cafe, from the moment you step through its doors, transports you back to those beautiful years, the 90s. Inside, I saw my childhood school uniform, our living room, and that nostalgic landline phone. Although my eyes searched for a Walkman, seeing my cassettes and tape recorder was enough. The orlon knits on the table, those famous covers even for the salt shaker, the lace, the pictures of the beloved artists of the time, and the soul-soothing music from real artists playing in the background... In every corner, I saw my neighborhood grocery store, the tables and chairs of our house, and most of all, the sincere humanity and genuine craftsmanship of the past. The welcoming smiles, noble greetings, and thoughtful attention upon entering immediately reveal the quality of the establishment. Above all, this place embodies a business philosophy far removed from the gaudy opportunism of today, adhering to the ancient principles of craftsmanship and a contented approach. Instead of exploiting people with exorbitant prices, they offer simple, high-quality, and delicious products at the most reasonable prices imaginable in today's conditions, well below market rates. We ordered breakfast for two. Their menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs with tomatoes and peppers) was truly delicious; even someone who doesn't normally prefer onions would lick their fingers. They seasoned the ready-made potatoes with such a magnificent spice blend that we loved it. We couldn't even finish the rich spread on the menu, which included sausages, gözleme (Turkish flatbread), muska böreği (a type of pastry), various cheeses, cold cuts, olives, honey and clotted cream, butter, acuka (a type of Turkish pepper paste), and a large thermos of tea. It's astonishing that all this is offered for a surprisingly low price of 1000 TL in today's conditions. It was good to learn that the leftovers weren't thrown away; they were given to animals. Great, we didn't waste anything. I won't focus solely on the taste here; because I saw that to create such a rich feast for 1000 TL, they pushed their resources to the limit and made a great sacrifice. To avoid disrespecting their effort, I'm giving them full marks for the excellent price/performance ratio, the service, and the serene ambiance, rather than the taste details. There's a great deal of effort, sincerity, and dignified demeanor here, my friends. If I lived in this area, I would undoubtedly be a regular customer, visiting frequently. I really liked this refined place and its owners. May God bless your work and your halal earnings. Full marks with a clear conscience.

A charming place with a meticulously arranged garden, reflecting the details of its time and bearing witness to history. The nostalgic sodas are excellent. The Acıbadem-flavored Datça soda instantly transports you to the Aegean region. However, the past it represents is a time of poverty, and the prices contradict this. Also, contactless payment is completely inappropriate in a place that reflects such history. If it were closer to my home, I would still go for the nostalgic sodas and the atmosphere. Because it has become an alternative to the now cliché coffee shops. I found it successful. Kudos to those who put in the effort. Good luck with your business.

As someone who misses the 80s and 90s, visiting Aleyta Cafe eases that feeling of nostalgia. Every moment, every corner reminds me of the peace of those old days, and it has become one of the places where I can spend time enjoyably without getting bored. The hygiene and cleanliness of the place are also very important to me, and it's a place I can wholeheartedly recommend.

This is a place we visited for the first time this evening, and we were amazed by every corner and every detail, and we regret not discovering it sooner. The owner was very attentive. The coffee, tea, sunflower seeds, and the complimentary potatoes roasted in the oven were delicious. We were very pleased and it looks like we'll be going there often 🙂

I came from Ankara. There are similar cafes in Ankara that keep the old days alive, but not as good as this one. Everything, from the items to the food, is in its original packaging, and there's a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can sit there for hours, reminiscing about the past. The coffee presentations are also beautiful, by the way. Thank you to everyone involved for taking us back in time! 🥹🤗
