Cappuccino and Indian-leaning plates on Stanley Street, under a new name
Café de Lit sits on Stanley Street in the middle of Kasese town. Same spot, same staff as the old Cafe Olimaco & Restaurant. New owners took over. They kept the cappuccino and the Indian-leaning kitchen menu, and just put up a new sign.
Regulars order the fish fillet with avocado salad. Others stick with the coffee that made the old name a fixture. Doors open at 6:30am and close at midnight, covering the breakfast crowd and whoever's still out at eleven.
Good to know
- The fish fillet with avocado salad is the most-ordered plate.

It’s a warm and welcoming place where the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee greets you the moment you step inside. The air carries a gentle hum of background conversation, softened by mellow music that drifts through the room. The counter is a focal point, with a friendly barista moving with ease, grinding beans, steaming milk, and carefully crafting each drink. A glass display offers a tempting selection of pastries, from flaky croissants to moist slices of cake, alongside light snacks for a quick bite. The seating is thoughtfully arranged—smaller tables tucked into quiet corners for those who want to read or work, and larger ones set in open spaces for friends and colleagues to gather. Natural light spills in through the windows during the day, giving the space a bright, airy feel, while in the evening, warm lighting creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Small touches, like potted plants, simple wall art, and neatly written menu boards, make the environment feel personal and comfortable. Whether someone comes in for a quick morning coffee, a long afternoon break, or a casual meeting, the place offers an inviting setting where time seems to slow down, making each visit feel special.

The good it's really good, A bit expensive and you need to wait long time to get your food. But it's worth it
