One designer's lighting gallery, staged like a living room

Nader Gammas treats light as a fourth dimension, and his sculptural fixtures, including the Sprout series, anchor this Alserkal Avenue warehouse. Around them sit twentieth century vintage furniture, regional work from Iwan Maktabi, Omar Gurg, Slow Ceramics and Ammar Kalo, and art.

Nothing here is grouped by era or origin. The whole warehouse reads as one evolving interior, arranged for atmosphere rather than category, and every piece in it is for sale.

Good to know

• The room is rearranged continuously as pieces sell, so no two visits look the same.
• Go in the late afternoon when the lighting pieces read best against the warehouse light.
