A gift shop built entirely around Black-owned brands

Beauty, gifts, homeware, all from small makers sourced ethically and stocked because they're good, not just because of where they're from. The bigger unit means room for workshops and talks too, so it's worth checking what's on before you go.

This started as the Black Pounds Project down the arcade before rebranding and moving into units 23-25. The Great Western Arcade itself dates to 1876 and sits right over the railway tunnel beneath Colmore Row.

Good to know

• Two minutes from Snow Hill station, inside the arcade off Colmore Row.
• Check the Instagram for workshop dates, they run alongside the shop.

  This is by far the most professional looking and largest selection of small business brand products I've found anywhere in the UK. The staff most importantly are helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about all of the products in the store. Can't wait for there to be more stores like this up and down the country!
