Real sourdough hits Farsley's high street
Laminated pastry and proper sourdough are landing on Town Street, the kind of bakery Farsley has been missing while chain convenience bakers filled the gap. Silver's Bakehouse opens here in May 2026.
Farsley sits on the old mill town corridor between Leeds and Bradford, and this is part of a real shift: independent food finally pushing past the ring road instead of staying stuck in the centre.

Just an incredible place with the most delicious focaccia sandwiches and cookies. Staff we super nice and friendly. Best place in Farsley 🙌🏼🥹

These guys know what they are doing. Everything is worth trying hands down. Slightly expensive but, it can be worth it. The brownie was different, very gooey, I did say to my partner it's the second best brownie of my life. She rated it 10/10 for taste but 7/10 for texture. I feel like it was just a little tad over gooey, just a small touch too gooey but, it did work, I'll be ordering it again, and it was brilliant. The sausage roll was good. The star of the show is the bread. The bread is a joke... I felt like an Italian man was dancing and singing on my tounge as I took my first bite. Tremendous taste. The meat on the turkey was nice and moist, I hate dry turkey or dry meat of any kind but they nailed it here. Thank you everyone. All staff were super friendly and nice too considering the queue didn't stop growing. The guy making the brownies explained everything to me in great detail, sound bloke. Also, noticed the owner getting stuck in with the team, always nice to see a supporting owner. Great teamwork.

Amazing food. The sando and focaccia was exceptional. The fig leaf tart was dreamy. Queued for half-an-hour and have no regrets. Worth it.

Went on Friday week 2 and was well worth the trip from Pool and the wait in the queue. The food was absolutely delicious. We had 2 sarnies and two cookies to share and everything was amazing. The shop system makes everything quick and efficient, hence the queue goes down quickly, which is great cos the delicious smells coming from the bake house make your stomach rumble in anticipation. All the staff are very friendly and fun. I love how they genuinely thank you at the end for your custom. A fantastic place, well worth a visit !!
