OXTWO opened on Banbury Road with a launch party on 27 February 2025, run by the team behind Woodstock's Back Lane Tavern. Executive head chef Johnny Parke and head chef Ben Bullen built the menu around small plates meant for sharing, much of it cooked over charcoal.
The wine list runs past 200 bottles, chosen to match the sharing format rather than sit as an afterthought, and the kitchen picked up two AA Rosettes within its first year. It's open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

What a fantastic little gem! The small plates were absolutely delicious, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavour. It's the perfect place to share a selection and try something different. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can really tell there's care and passion behind both the food and the service. Whether you're popping in for a casual meal or celebrating something special, this place is well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!

OXTWO is one of my favourite place to come for a drink and food. All members of staff are always super nice. Today I've met Fabio! What a great guy with an exceptional customer service skills, he's a keeper and I hope I will see him again !

It’s the best restaurant in Oxfordshire. Amazing food and not over priced. The small plates mean you can try lots of different dishes, my favourite last night was the tuna, just perfect It’s our go to restaurant and we are always recommending OXtwo If you want great food and service at a reasonable price then go here you won’t be disappointed 😊

My fiancé and I went for lunch here a couple of weeks ago and the whole experience was delightful. We ordered a couple of the dishes, as recommended to us by the lovely front of house staff, and we felt welcomed and thoroughly looked after throughout our meal. The food was incredible, we got scallops, a wagyu slider and the fish cakes and each one was delicious, the chefs were amazing. Overall we had a lovely time and the atmosphere of the place was beautiful, perfect for a date night or dinner with friends, would highly recommend!

I was really excited to visit as I've been to both other venues owned by the company... and their food and service is wonderful. Question was.. could it be repeated! It definitely has been. We both had a fabulous meal... the wine was a little bit morish too! Oops 😀.
