Austin's answer to a fancy grocery, minus the Erewhon prices
Thoroughfare opened in Mueller in March 2026, a smart grocery store with a bakery, deli and cafe attached. The obvious comparison is Erewhon in Los Angeles, but the pricing here hasn't lost its mind.
The shelf edit is the point: fewer things, better ones. Go for lunch at the deli and leave with more than you planned.

Delicious, healthy wholesome food. Friendly helpful staff. Can't ask for more really. The pricing of the coffee was a little high for my liking but absolutely delicious (according to my hubby) and as mentioned good was delicious! We had tomato lentil soup, and avocado sandwich and the chickpea salad sandwich. All three were delicious. The kids were both happy with the food ;)

Visited for the first time yesterday and I was very pleased with my experience! Staff welcomed me upon entry, service and guest area were so clean, and their chocolate chip cookie is fantastic! Love that they use all clean ingredients in their breads and pastries. Will definitely be returning soon!

The drinks are good, and the staff is friendly, but I left feeling the pricing is far out of proportion to what you receive. The quality is perfectly fine, but nothing about the experience justifies the premium. It's hard to enjoy a coffee when you're constantly thinking about whether it was worth it. If you're planning to stop by, just be aware that this is an exceptionally expensive place for standard-sized coffee drinks. I don't mind paying more for quality, but in this case, the value simply wasn't there for me.

Tye place is as amazing as the staff over there. They were welcoming, sweet and patient. My Friend was confused on what to get and spent almost 15 mins looking at the menu and asking multiple questions. The lady at the counter was so sweet and patient enough to deal with her. The coffee and the Frittata were mouthwatering and they are made fresh for every order. Love the vibe there. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely one of my favorite food shopping experiences! I’m new(ish) to the area…I don’t live far but my sister absolutely recommended we go by. The Salsa Verde with their Masa chips 🤩 The staff as well were all organized and kind! Well done and we will all be back! 👏🏼
