Kariba's first real coffee stop, right on the marina

Marie Demblon and Lauren Scholtz opened Earth Café at The Marina on Impala Drive in December 2025. Both grew up in Kariba, and neither could point to a proper coffee shop in town before this one. Decent espresso used to mean driving to Harare.

The menu covers coffee, thick milkshakes and gourmet ice cream, served from marina-side seating with the harbour and lake right past the tables. Boat crews and tour guides who work this stretch of the lake caught on fast. Tourists killing time before a cruise show up too.

Good to know

• Go early, the shakes and coffee both get better reviews before the afternoon heat sets in.
• Closed Sundays, so plan weekday lake trips around it.
