Kiabi Annaba

Annaba Opened 27 June 2024

A French chain that undercuts the local boutiques.

The French cultural centre in Annaba filmed Kiabi's launch, a crowd big enough on opening day to justify it. Gifts went out at the door, and local coverage treated the whole thing as a genuine event.

It's the French chain's first expansion beyond its original Algiers stores, opened on Avenue de l'ALN in 2024. The appeal is straightforward, a recognisable brand at prices that undercut most boutiques in the city.
