Cafe Lcher
Alaverdi Opened Opening date unknown
A roadside stop on the Georgia highway through town
Every truck and car moving between Armenia and Georgia on the M6 cuts through Alaverdi's gorge, and Cafe Lcher sits right on that stretch. Its own Facebook page calls the spot secluded, an odd claim for a place on the region's busiest road, but the seating pulls back far enough from the traffic that it holds up.
The design leans toward dark wood and stone rather than plastic chairs and a laminated menu. People mention the setting before the food, which isn't a bad trade for a stop on a long highway drive.
Good to know
- Ask for a table set back from the road, the traffic noise carries at the front.
