Vintage racks and a matcha bar sharing a hidden warehouse

Handmedown Heat spent years running pop-ups before landing this permanent spot, teaming up with matcha operator Solace & Heart to split a warehouse at 12 Logan Street. Chrome rails, stacked crates, bare concrete, no wall between the two sides.

Stock rotates constantly, so browsing takes a while. That's the point of the matcha bar: somewhere to sit while whoever you came with keeps digging through the racks.

Good to know

• It's a laneway address, Logan Street runs off Sturt Street, and the entrance is easy to walk past.
• The matcha side is run by Solace & Heart, so it's a proper bar rather than a token counter.
