Hyde Perth

★ 4.5 · 66 reviews Perth Opened March 2026

121 rooms on Pier Street, a Greek terrace and a pool deck built for late nights

Skip the pale grey business hotel look. Hyde Perth does deep, warm tones instead, and it backs that up with a Greek restaurant and bar spilling onto a street terrace, plus a pool deck that runs as a day club with DJ residencies.

It's the second Hyde in Australia after Melbourne Place, and the first outside Melbourne to bring the brand's Ibiza-to-Miami energy here. Locals show up for the pool deck as much as guests do. Two event spaces sit on the lower floors if you're planning something bigger.

Good to know

  • The Greek restaurant, bar and terrace are open to non-guests, so you can look at the place before committing to a stay.
  • Pier Street is a short walk to Yagan Square and the RAC Arena end of the CBD.

After two seperate stays, once after they first opened and once a few months later, we can confidently say Hyde Perth is the best hotel we have stayed at in Perth. The staff are well trained and genuinely friendly, valet service is excellent, and the rooms are very well designed and comfortable. We will continue to come to Hyde when we need to stay in the city.

I had a fantastic 2 night stay here at Hyde Perth. The room itself was very impressive and absolutely spotless on arrival. The location was fantastic, within vicinity of everything you might need while also being on a quieter street. What impressed me most was the friendly service and how kind and charming all the staff were from check-in to check-out. Everyone went above and beyond to help with any request. Raghav was incredibly polite in accommodating me with anything I needed and Daniel too was excellent. I especially wish to thank Nico and Inès who work in the bar. They were both so sweet and warm to guests, truly outstanding at their jobs and some of the best service I’ve seen, having worked in hospitality for almost a decade. I believe that if the level of service remains as high as I experienced, Hyde will be one of the top hotels to stay at within Perth. Thank you!

We chose Hyde Perth mainly due to the location, as it was my Mum's first visit to Perth and I needed to be close to the Trains, buses, and shopping. I think it's the best location in Perth, as you are only a block back from the Malls, and in the middle of both. It's an easy walk to the Station, Elizabeth Quay, Barrack Street Jetty, shopping, and St George's Terrace if you need the Bus to Kings Park or East Perth. Chemist Warehouse is less than a minute away, and it's close to both Woolworths and a Coles. We were greeted promptly on arrival and the Staff were welcoming. It has a good feel to it. Like home. The room was beautiful, with a relaxed feel and premium appliances, such as Dyson Hairdryer and lovely new Coffee Machine and Kettle. The fabric on the pillows and cushions was a highlight, as were the overhead lamp, carved wooden bedside tables, and big side lamps. The beds were comfortable but the sheets were tucked in way too low, so we had to pull them out at the end. I thought that the huge space in the bathroom (where the mirrors are) could be the clothes cupboard to get it out of the bedroom. There was plenty of space for suitcases and enough good quality coat-hangers. It was a lovely touch to provide slippers and bathrobe, but found the bathrobe difficult to get on and off, because they weren't the wrap around design. We also thought that the bright orange should perhaps be green to match the room. We were given a bottle of wine, which was very kind, and much appreciated. We also requested more Teabags twice, and they were very happy to oblige. I couldn't work out if water was a one off, or replenished daily, as it only appeared on day two of a four night stay, and wasn't there on arrival. The hallway echoed a bit, and you could hear people passing, but it wasn't often. We had breakfast once, and it was lovely. The serve was not large, but enough, and reasonably priced. The service was good. The Pool area is quite 'Palm Springs', and the Pool is heated at twenty-nine degrees. I'd love to return and spend more time at the Hotel, as we had a full itinerary. I was charged a refundable holding fee of AUD 600.00, which I didn't think necessary. They had my credit card and could have charged it if we had stolen or damaged something. Overall I'd definitely come back, as it feels very homely. It was quite a treat to stay in such a new and spotlessly clean Hotel.

Raghav and Alicia were exceptional receptionists who went above and beyond during our stay. They complemented the new and fresh hotel beautifully. The room was spacious and clean, and filled with appliances that were useful and great to use. We loved the heated pool, especially during the cold and windy weather. The Farra dining room and the bar were nice, and the food and drinks were tasty as well. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will most likely return to this hotel when I come back to Perth.

I stayed at the hotel from April 22–27, and I wanted to share my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience my group of three rooms had. The food at restaurant, Farra, was consistently great. The team managed the breakfast service with warmth, making it the perfect start to each morning. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the offerings and the attentive nature of the staff, which created a welcoming atmosphere. One comment about the safe found in the rooms. They should be bolted to the ground or the cupboards. No point keeping valuables there if you can carry the safe away. The combination of great dining and good front office leadership made my trip to Perth memorable. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality. I look forward to returning to Hyde Hotel in the future and will certainly be recommending it to others.
