Waffela opened its second location on Kaiserstraße on July 16, 2026, moving into the space that ran for years as the bakery Bäck-Kainz. The café belongs to Zehra and Levent Gültekin, who opened the first Waffela in Lustenau back in November 2023.
The menu sticks to waffles, topped with anything from chocolate to caramel sauce, as the family business spreads to a second town in Vorarlberg.

A beautiful café with a pleasant atmosphere. The coffee was excellent, and the waffles were fresh and delicious. The friendly and attentive staff, who gave us a warm welcome, deserve special mention. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't right. It's self-service, the bagels are smaller and more expensive compared to other cafes—not bad, but nothing special. You wait forever for the food, and when it was finally ready, it was already cold when you picked it up. The staff were quite friendly, though, although one woman in front of us was extremely rude.

Nice place, but it's nowhere near as good as Lustenau. We waited 25 minutes for two bowls even though there were only two people ahead of us. The taste is still a bit lacking compared to New York bowls. The staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Cheers

I've been to Café Waffela on Kaiserstraße in Bregenz several times – for breakfast, lunch, and even a sweet dessert. Every time, I've been completely satisfied. I especially want to commend the excellent service and customer friendliness. The entire team is very attentive and welcoming, and they always accommodate special requests in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. You truly feel welcome as a guest. The menu is also impressive across the board: from delicious breakfasts and varied lunch dishes to delectable waffles, they have everything your heart desires.
