A globe-trotting menu from the couple behind Küchentanz, in the room Weiss left behind
Ibon opened on Anton-Schneider-Straße on April 30, 2026, run by Reinhard Gehrer and his wife Rose Molina Gehrer, who've run the nearby Küchentanz for five years. The space had sat empty since Weiss, a three-toque restaurant from Milena Broger and Erik Pedersen, closed at the end of 2024.
The name comes from the Philippine word for bird, a nod to the culinary freedom behind the menu: Rose Molina Gehrer builds dishes that roam across cuisines rather than settle into one. Red bistro tables sit against royal-blue benches and chairs.

We went there yesterday for my husband’s birthday, and everything was perfect! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the bread and butter served at the beginning, they were amazing! For the special starters of the day, we had the shrimp and a salad, and the salad was incredible! For our main courses, we ordered the Tantanmen Tagliatelle and the Beef Kaldereta. We would highly recommend both to everyone. We would also like to thank the team for the lovely birthday gesture they made for my husband. We will definitely come back and I’m already looking forward to having the Tantanmen again!

Loved our dinner at Ibon! Creative kitchen, but still possible to find something for more conservative taste buds.

Hello dear Ibon team. We find it a shame that your excellent food doesn't quite live up to its potential due to the rather basic seating. It gives more the impression of bistro cuisine than that of a fine-dining restaurant. The food was, as always, top-notch. However, the furniture concept is debatable. My companion missed having non-alcoholic wine.

An excellent restaurant with exquisite creations that blend diverse influences, cultures, and spices. It's clear the kitchen is always striving to come up with something extraordinary. The service is very attentive, and the wine list is good! Highly recommended, though unfortunately not exactly inexpensive.

What a gem. I thought restaurants like this had died out around here: original menu, top-quality ingredients, talented front-of-house and a welcoming atmosphere. The dishes had a creativity and depth of flavour you just don't find any more, even in premium restaurants in this region. At around €60 per person from two courses and a glass prices are moderately above average, but the premium is reflected in the enormous amount of effort and quality seasonal products you see on every plate. Portions were sensible - satisfying without being heavy. A reservation is essential (easily done on the official website) because even in low season most tables were occupied nonstop until after 22:00 on a Saturday.
