Coffee, cake, and Danube views atop the Ars Electronica Center

Qube opened in March 2026 on the top floor of the Ars Electronica Center, taking over from the longtime restaurant Cubus. Linz pastry chef Alexander Heuschober and gastronomy veteran Marco Luckner built a full day format: breakfast and a lunch menu on weekdays, coffee and cake all afternoon, weekend brunch, and dinner with the Linz skyline and the Danube spread out below.

The museum's upper floors sit at the northern foot of the Nibelungenbrücke, giving the room one of the widest river views in the city.

We had a wonderful evening at Qube, where we celebrated my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted fantastic. I was especially touched by the lovely surprise of the birthday cake. I was truly delighted. The service was attentive and warm, making the evening perfect. Many thanks to the entire team for this special experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Qube!

Simply TOP! Elegant ambiance meets culinary delights. Whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner, Qube offers a moment of pure enjoyment at any time of day! The brunch is complemented by themed à la carte appetizers – highly recommended! For a taste of home, we treated ourselves to some Heuschober pastries – a fantastic selection – and on a Sunday, no less! :) In addition to the daily changing lunch menus, there's also a superb wine selection! The friendliness of the entire team, the impeccable cleanliness, and the stunning view over Linz leave nothing to be desired!

Our visit to Qube at the Ars Electronica Center was a complete delight. Even the appetizer, a superbly seasoned beef tartare, was impressive – but the real highlight was the homemade, golden-brown toasted brioche, crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside – a true treat. The main course continued this high standard: The salmon fillet was cooked to perfection, opaque inside with a wonderfully crispy skin. Combined with the aromatic wild garlic risotto and the delicately balanced champagne foam, it created a harmonious and sophisticated dish. The side salad with homemade dressing was also fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, there was no room left for dessert – a good reason to return soon. The ambiance is impressive, with a calm and stylish atmosphere: The tables are comfortably spaced, the lighting is subtly dimmed, and the view of the Danube and Linz at night makes the visit even more special. The service was consistently attentive, friendly, and professional. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. Qube is a truly wonderful addition to Linz's culinary scene and definitely worth a visit – especially for those who appreciate good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a great view.

We went for the "All About Cheese" brunch – the fact that they have a different theme every week is fantastic! The quality of the food was consistently exceptional. Fresh berries, the finest cheese, fresh pastries, creamy yogurt, Sonnentor tea – everything was top-notch – and the service was just as attentive! Quick, professional, and always customer-focused. The soft-boiled eggs were truly the best I've ever had eating out – actually soft! The only thing that could be improved is the variety, although these small hot dishes were all absolutely superb. We just wished for more choice, more variety, but perhaps we're a bit spoiled. The price, including drinks, was definitely reasonable, and we'll gladly come back. The view also deserves a mention – that's quite rare these days...
