Korean soulfood in a century-old Wirtshaus, opened by a 27-year-old couple
IMO opened on Adlergasse on January 9, 2026, in the building that held the old Wirtshaus Leopoldistüberl for decades. Nena Nguyen and Jaeho Lee, both 27, built the place around Korean soulfood. The name comes from the Korean word for aunt, a nod to the women who traditionally run the floor in Korean restaurants.
Upstairs serves bibimbap, bulgogi, and tteokbokki. Downstairs, a street food counter turns out bao buns, giving the address two different moods under one roof.

Service was great, atmosphere was good too, though it was kinda hot inside, 2 fans don't feel enough imo. But food... kinda upsetting. I ordered pear juice with soda, tteokpokki with cheese, kimchi and bungeoppang. Tteokpokki weren't too spicy since I've asked them not to make it so, but why was the onion taste so strong??? I felt like I was eating onion sause with some rice cakes 🥲 Kimchi wasn't good as well, it's not supposed to be bitter at all, but mine was. Please check how it's made. Bungeoppang was good, since I like red beans, though it was just a reheated grocery version covered with sugar. It was hillarious to see 5 lil ones instead of a big one. Pear juice was good, but well it can't save everything lol

Had my second visit for this restaurant and it did not disappoint! IMO is a great restaurant which delivers most authentic Korean food experience in Linz. There's a small to medium amount of dishes which you can choose from with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The portions of the dishes are plentiful, so i would not order too much. My personal highlight was the dessert - pancake with nut and sunflower seed sauce filling. It was mind-blowing!

Incredible korean food. Highly recommend! The chicken bimbimbap was to die for. Update: came back a month later and it was even better! The Chicken Bap is my new favourite. And the Kimchi Mandu was a delicious starter.

Food is nice. The filipina girl and the other short hair korean girl are very friendly. They helped us pick a food. Would recommend outside to sit down and have food
