A Foster Hall rum shop with the hill's best view
Sea View Bar sits halfway up the hill from Foster Hall, a small family-run rum shop with one of the best views on the east coast, the beach, Soup Bowl and the hills toward Chalky Mount. It barely makes it into guidebooks despite being a favorite among Bajans.
The kitchen keeps it simple, fried fish, breadfruit or coucou depending on the day, with cold Banks beer and rum. Show up Thursday for the coucou special, when the crowd is thickest.
Good to know
- Go on Thursday for the breadfruit coucou special.
- Halfway up the hill from the village beach, worth the walk.

This is one gem of Barbados! Great food and drinks and a VIEW TO DIE FOR!!! Love this place! Just watch out how many Rum punches you drink here -they taste amazing and are strong! Don't ask how I know.

Good food, great service, great views. You can also get very friendly bird looking for food jumping around your table ☺️

Didn't eat, a short walk from the botanical gardens we had a couple of beers waiting for our driver. Friendly staff and locals, stunning hill top view of the sea

We had a great late lunch of Bajan classics here, with plenty of good fruit juice. Amazing views.

Can’t miss this place if you’re on the east coast! Incredible view of Bathsheba, nice place to sip a drink and enjoy the view. Didn’t try the food though.
