The Grote Markt café that stays open past midnight

Most terraces on the square roll up early. Cliché doesn't, open seven nights a week until midnight, with a full brasserie kitchen behind the bar so it works as dinner and not just a nightcap.

The building at Grote Markt 11 has carried a café name since 1890, most recently Café West-Vlaanderen. Elvis Hoxhaj reopened it as Cliché in March 2024, and the move went well enough that he later took over a second address on the square, Muze.

Delicious food! The goat cheese salad was incredible! Wonderful staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal while in Kortrijk.

Cliche I have found to be a very good restsurant each time I have been there. With a good choice of good food along with good friendly service. Also a good location to sit outside for drinks.

I'm already couple times coming here for coffee or lunch or dinner. I like everything here especially food variety and the service. Staff always super friendly.
