Decock's second bakery, family-run since 1855

Oosterbrood opened on 18 January 2025 on Oosteroever, the second location for Bakkerij Decock alongside its shop on Langestraat.

The family has been baking bread since 1855, and this new spot has a seating area where you can eat your bread fresh with a coffee or tea.

It was so pleasant to have lunch in a place like this; everything we ate was delicious. The dining room has a calm, zen, and minimalist style. The two servers were both very nice and bilingual. The products are a bit pricey, especially the drinks, but truly delicious. We will definitely return.

The coffee was good, very mild. We found the €50 breakfast too exorbitant, even at this location. The Nic Nacje cookie with the coffee could be better.

Breakfast was tasty & staff friendly. Very nice place & beautiful interior. The only downside is that the 2 tables that came after us received a menu earlier and were already fully served before we could even order. Unfortunate, but that can always happen.
