Coffee grown, roasted and poured at 1,800 meters near Coroico

Café Munaipata grows its own beans on Finca Shanti, a farm in the Munaypata community about ten minutes outside Coroico. The family says the 1,800-meter altitude gives the coffee brighter acidity than lower-grown Yungas beans. Book a tour and you'll walk the rows before tasting what comes out of the roaster.

It's a working farm first, a cafe second. There's no walk-in counter culture here, groups book ahead and the two phone numbers for farm and reservations tell you exactly how small this operation still is.

We did the 3 hour tour with Carla and we loved every minute of it. Carla has a lot of knowledge and we got to learn about the whole process of growing and processing coffee all the way from the plant up to the tasting of various coffee beans and types. We would highly recommend it!

We made the coffee tour and it was really amazing. We got a really deep inside in the process of coffee making and were even able to roast coffee ourselves. Impressive how much work is in one cup of coffee.
