Hostal Kurmi

A quiet family hostel steps from Coroico's plaza
Skip the party hostels. Hostal Kurmi runs a small cafeteria alongside its rooms, down the stairs near the Banco FIE branch that also leads to Carla's Garden, a few minutes' walk from the plaza. The family that owns it keeps things quiet and straightforward, with breakfast included.
There's no pool or mountain view here, just the basics done reliably. The cafeteria serves guests first, but anyone can stop in for a coffee before heading down toward the Death Road trailhead.

Very spacious, clean rooms. Very comfortable seating area with a stunning view of the garden. Mosquito nets would be helpful. The staff was very helpful.

The service was excellent; Cinthya was very attentive and helpful with local information. They have a private terrace with a beautiful view, perfect for breakfast and lunch. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with well-insulated walls.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. However, it was very hot inside, and since there was no flyscreen on the window, mosquitoes came in when we tried to get some fresh air. The pillows were also unusually large and hard, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. A double room costs 240 Bs.
