Skip the dulce de leche and go straight for the avocado scoop, or whatever jungle fruit flavor they've churned that week. Pruébame makes its ice cream in-house from Amazonian fruit, plus coffee and light breakfast plates, on Calle Avaroa between Vaca Diez and Campero.

It's a block off the main plaza, close enough to catch travelers heading to or from the bus station to La Paz. The same family also runs a line of Amazonian liqueurs under the Pruébame name, sold separately in the same neighborhood.

very delicious ice cream. One of the best I’ve tried in Bolivia. The owner is super nice and he uses fresh local fruits for the ice cream, which you can definitely tell by it’s taste. The chocolate ice cream is also very delicious and the coffee is good as well. I can really recommend this place.

Just amazing! The owner represent Bolivian insane hospitality! He is super sweet and caring all the times I have been there and the ice-cream is literally delicious. 100% must go if in rurrenabaque!

Incredible artisanal ice cream and a very friendly owner. I highly recommend the Cupulate flavor, which is chocolate made from the Amazonian fruit Copuazu. It’s a unique flavor that you probably won’t find anywhere else, and after we expressed our interest in it, the owner allowed us to try the other chocolate flavors to compare, which were also tasty as were the fruit flavors we tried. I would frequently come here if I lived in the area.
