Bastos is wall-to-wall diplomatic compounds, and Xanadou sits right across from the Nigerian ambassador's residence with a garden that leans lush and green on purpose, an oasis against all that embassy concrete outside. The bar pours cocktails, the kitchen does pizzas and grillades, and there's a billiards room if you're staying a while.

Midweek it's a slower cocktail-hour crowd, mostly after-work regulars from the diplomatic scene nearby. Weekends flip to live DJ sets and a fuller room.

Good cocktails and a nice atmosphere. However, the food is ridiculously cheap. I commented on my dish, which wasn't tasty at all, and I wasn't taken seriously. 🙂

The owners are very welcoming, the food is top tier, the atmosphere is cozy and very clean. However, they can still do better on service and you might very long on busy evenings to get served. Overall would recommend.

A cosy spot with a nice atmosphere, ideal for sundays outing and Friday afterworks. The draft beer is cold and the pool table is soft … all we needed.
