Cowboy karaoke and dancing on Banff Avenue after ten

Billiards run downstairs and live music plays up top. The kitchen does more than a saloon strictly needs. The Dusty Boot opened as the biggest new night-time room Banff has seen in years, cowboy karaoke included.

Doors open at 5pm, later on weekends. Dancing stops being optional once the clock passes ten. Expect the floor to fill fast once the band gets going.

I want to give a raving review about this bar. Not only were their drinks well crafted, had cozy unique atmosphere, and a great live band singing all your favorite new and old country hits…. But the staff is ON IT Like I have never seen before with women safety. I had a male in the bar who was being creepy and innappropriate and following me around and at one point he grabbed my hips and I was able to meet a group of random girls who pulled me in to their group to get me away from him as my friends were not nearby. I never told this to any of the staff and yet somehow the staff there was watching and noticed this all on their own. They pulled the guy aside and basically told him to cut it out or leave and the guy left on his own. I only knew about it because after all this transpired they pulled me aside to tell me they had been watching him and how he was with me and took care of it. I have never felt so safe in a bar in my life. 11/10 recommend. This Florida girl loves her new Canadian favorite bar!

Great spot some of the best country music in banff. Service staff seemed busy but kept up with the huge line of people, professionally. The food was great perfect for a western atmosphere and the cocktails were on point for a great price. Artist Andy did a great job thank you!!

This might honestly be the best bar in town. Not only are the drinks and food amazing, but what really sets this place apart is the service. Every single person I’ve interacted with has been so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely great at what they do. I’ve been lucky enough to come here a few times now, and as someone who also works in Banff and understands how high turnover can be, I’m honestly in awe of how consistently incredible this team is. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident, it speaks volumes about the leadership and the culture they’ve built here. Keep doing what you’re doing. You all make this place something really special.

Very lively bar, especially later in evening. Superb atmosphere, especially if you like country music. Food for me was fine but I’d say the entertainment i.e. singers and bands are what make it along with the great team that work there. I liked the design of the bar too, great fun!

After finishing the long ski-out down Banff Ave, there is absolutely no better reward than unbuckling the boots and walking into Dusty Boots. While Trapper’s is great for the mid-mountain party, Dusty Boots offers a more relaxed, authentic Western steakhouse feel that hits the spot when you’re genuinely hungry and looking for a bit more room to breathe. The decor is classic Alberta—plenty of wood, leather, and that rustic 'saloon' charm that makes you want to order a whiskey and stay for a while. The menu is much more substantial than your average mountain snack bar. We ordered the Alberta Beef Burger and the Fish and Chips, and both were excellent. The burger was thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection, clearly using high-quality local beef. If you’re looking for something heavier, their steak frites are surprisingly high-end for a ski resort base. They also have a great selection of local craft brews on tap that rotate frequently, which is perfect for a post-shred pint. What I appreciate most about Dusty Boots is the service and the space. Even during the weekend rush, the staff are incredibly welcoming and don't make you feel rushed. It’s a fantastic spot for families or larger groups who need a proper table and a hearty meal before catching the shuttle or heading to the parking lot. The prices are what you’d expect for a premium resort location, but the portions are generous enough that you actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. If you want a break from the crowds at the top and a real taste of Western hospitality, this is the place to be.
