Fantastic! Great experience with our server Zach who was able to quickly list which items were available gluten free. Multiple options with nearly 80% of the menu available GF. House made GF bread and pasta options. Gluten free or not, I highly recommend. Great food. Great experience.

Dopo is hands down one of the absolute best Italian dining experiences in Calgary right now, seamlessly carrying the torch from the beloved D.O.P. legacy into its cozy Marda Loop home. Tucked into an intimate basement trattoria, it pairs exceptional Southern Italian comforting flavors with incredibly warm, personalized hospitality. But honestly, even if you set aside the incredible food, the customer experience is what truly sets this place apart. It’s driven by a staff that is unapologetically amazing, attentive, and genuinely caring—they don’t just serve tables, they curate the entire energy of the room from the second you walk down the stairs.

We accidently booked on the same night we had dinner plans. So we went for drinks and appetizers. Everything we had was outstanding. The flavor was incredible. We had the meatballs and the flavor was layered with a slight kick. Absolutely delicious. The fried green tomatoes and whipped ricotta was FANTASTIC. . The bread was by far the best I've had at any establishment. We had bartenders choice for our first drink and they were all very good. The service was great. Highly recommend. We will be back. I should note it is in the basement, so steps to enter the restaurant.

We had such a great time at Dopo! The whipped ricotta was incredible, and the walnut pasta special was easily the highlight of our meal. We finished with the tiramisu, which was the perfect ending. Also, shoutout to Anthony (“Big Dog”) he wasn’t our server, but he welcomed us, checked in on us throughout the night, and had such great energy. He really added to the experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We were so lucky Mr. WC got us a reservation on short notice for my daughter’s 18th birthday dinner! I can tell it was a new experience for my kids as they’ve never tried authentic and delicioso Italian cuisine. From the grilled bread (that my son ordered 3x), to the humongous polpetti, the broccolini paired with the raviolo, to the carne alla griglia with a side of potatoes … Chef’s kiss 😚 ! “The food here tastes better than the Italian resto where I work” is probably the best compliment I’ve heard from someone in our group. Oh did I mention the tiramisu and panna cotta? Sinful!! Highly recommend this place for those romantic dates, special occasions or just to hang out with friends. Keep it up Tony! 👌
