Smashburgers and pizza, no allegiance to either
Idle Kitchen doesn't pick a side. The menu splits down the middle between smashburgers and pizza, and both get equal attention instead of one propping up the other. It's counter-service, built as much for takeout and delivery as for the few tables inside.
Argyll Road is light industrial and strip retail, not a strip you'd stumble onto by chance. That's exactly why this one feels like a locals' find rather than a destination stop.

Great burgers! Loved the pizza. My only criticism would be the Fries. Need to source a thicker fry! And also a bigger option for gravy (please). But definitely will be back!

Great burgers, cool setting. I love the concept of a burger place inside a bike shop and I think it was well executed here. Perfect smash burg and wonderfully crisp fries. My only criticism would be the barrel seating, while aesthetically they fit well, they are very uncomfortable and not a great place to enjoy a meal. Still giving it 5 ⭐ though!

This smash burger is absolutely delicious and, in my opinion, the best in the city. With perfectly seared, crispy edges, juicy beef, and incredible flavor in every bite, it's the kind of burger that keeps you coming back for more. The real game-changer is the special sauce, which is absolutely to die for, bringing the perfect balance of richness, tang, and flavor that ties everything together. And don't forget the fresh, hand-cut fries, triple-fried in beef tallow for an unbeatable golden crunch and deep, savory flavor. If you're a burger lover, this is a must-try experience that lives up to the hype.

Was my first time visiting Idle Kitchen along with a former coworker, I ordered one of their signature quad pattied burger with fries, and coworker ordered up a buffalo chicken poutine, Didn't take them too long to cook up our late lunches, and the food was fantastic! The quad patty and fries was more than I could realistically eat, but I managed to finish it off! Buddies poutine was to his spec, and I may try one of their designer poutines on my next visit. Info provided to me, I visited during their "soft opening" with their grand opening coming up Thursday of the following week. Price point was excellent, at $17.95 for the quad patty with fries, and I can't remember what coworkers poutine was, I think in the $13.95 range. Definitely will visit again!

Best deal on a burger & fries in the province, probably... And they're REALLY good too. The fries are cooked in tallow too, not seed oil. Incredible value, great food, sitting in a showroom full of cool bikes. This place is outstanding. The staff are super friendly too. Oh, and the coffee slaps.
