A queer bar with a kitchen open past most others

Stardust runs its kitchen until 10pm every night, later than most bars bother. That turns out to matter on a corner that stays busy well past dinner. It opened at Barrington and Prince in 2024 and took gold for best new bar in downtown Halifax two years on.

Happy hour runs 3 to 6. It is one of the few dedicated queer spaces downtown, and it is busy accordingly. Most nights are worth arriving early for a seat.

I went there on 7/26 with my bsf and Bryan was amazing! He made amazing drinks and was extremely friendly. For his first week being there, I know he's going to do great! Fried pickles and cheers queer were my favorites!

We were so happy to find Stardust Bar + Kitchen while visiting Halifax. We were looking for a fun LGBTQ+ spot, and it just so happened that they had a drag brunch happening the day we were in town. Even though it was sold out, the staff were so kind and accommodating and were able to make a spot for us. We really appreciated the effort, and it made our visit feel extra special. The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and full of energy. We had such a great time and are so glad we got to experience it while we were in Halifax. Thanks again!

We came here for a drag brunch during a quick stop on our cruise. The service was amazing, the queens were entertaining and funny and the bar was amazing. If you are on fence about coming here make it a point to stop by and support this queer business.

This place was all things inclusive and sparkle, we missed out on drag brunch because we didn't realize soon enough to get tickets as result we ended up with a more low key afternoon experience. Ordered nachos that were delicious and shared one of their buckets, also fabulous. Staff were engaging, attentive and wonderful humans.
