Popayán's UNESCO-worthy snacks by the Puente del Humilladero
Mora Castilla works out of a house beside the Puente del Humilladero, selling the sweets and snacks that make up Popayán's traditional table: carantanta, empanadas de pipián, aguapanada.
This is the most direct way to taste the food that actually earned the city its UNESCO gastronomy title, not a fancy reinterpretation of it.

Excellent place to have a conversation, great spot for meetings or just an easy and relaxed time. The menu offers traditional local food of standard quality. I recommend the "carantanta" to share.

The food and juices were good but the quantities were ridiculous for the price paid. I had to go to a second restaurant in order to quensh my appetite and I'm not a big eater usually. It's a placé for an expensive snack, not for a meal.

Must visit to experience the gastronomic legacy of Popayan. Things are slightly on the expensive side but worth the experience. I immensely enjoyed the food and highly recommend to everyone

Food is extraordinary. You must order, carantanta, empanaditas de pipian(at least 20 pieces), salpicon payanes and tamal de pipian, and for desert helado de paila, if you do not speak spanish show them this text they will know.
