Twin Figs
★ 4.7 · 498 reviews Rovinj Opened 2024
Coffee by day, cocktails by night, run by two locals since 2024.
Iva Knežević and Neven Cerovina opened Twin Figs in 2024 on a quiet street in Rovinj's old town, splitting the day in two on purpose: mornings and afternoons for coffee, granola and light bites, evenings for cocktails, dinner and the occasional live set. They built it as an answer to how much of the local food scene runs on the same tourist schedule.
The bar closes for winter and reopens each spring, using the off months to rework the menu instead of coasting on autopilot all year. It pulls in locals looking for something outside the postcard version of the old town, plus travelers who wander in by chance.

The place is beautiful, but it is usually very crowded and takes a long time for the food to be prepared. Other than that, the sandwich was phenomenal and would 100% recommend paying a visit. But do not order pancakes tho, they are mediocre at best. ;)

We stopped by the restaurant earlier in the day and were able to secure an evening reservation for two. The outdoor courtyard is charming with the two fig trees peeking through the walls. The aesthetic is also very pleasing in general as well. They have a lovely drink menu and you can really tell they’ve put a lot of thought into their craft cocktails. The service is excellent as well, each drink was thoroughly explained when we received it. We ordered the fried olives and seared scallops to start. Both were fairly solid. The pea puree on the scallops was tasty and fresh but the scallops themselves left a bit to be desired. They were a bit cold and a touch rubbery. The fried olives were tasty and the tzatziki adjacent sauce they were served with lightened them up quite well. For main dishes I had the crab tagliatelle pasta and my friend had the lamb with cous cous. The portion of crab served on the pasta was generous and the pasta itself was cooked quite well. I enjoyed the sauce it was served with. My friend said the lamb was cooked perfectly. Would recommend stopping in for a bite if you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit.

We just had the best sandwich we’ve ever had in our lives here! Long live the Twin Figs Mortadella Sandwich!!! You won’t believe how good it is! Aperol Spritz and infused green and black teas rounded off the meal! You MUST GO! The focaccia bread is beyond amazing - crunch and flavor! Welcoming, cool inside - great place to cool off, get away from the crowds and enjoy some really great food! We will be back!

We went there a couple of times to get drinks during the hot summerdays. The area is surrounded by leaves, really quiet and cozy and the drinks are great (and cheap!). You can order your drinks with oatmilk and the place felt safe for queers. Bathrooms are clean and the staff is really friendly. They even recognized regular costumers.

We came all the way from Aruba for our vacation in Croatia, and visiting Rovinj brought back so many beautiful memories. When I was younger, I used to come here often, and it has always been one of the most beautiful, clean, and historic cities I know. This place makes Rovinj feel even more special. The quality of the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is truly unique. The small hidden patio in the back, surrounded by trees, creates such a relaxing and authentic vibe that perfectly represents the charm of Rovinj. A wonderful place to enjoy great food, slow down, and experience the true feeling of this beautiful city. Highly recommended! 🌿🥐✨
